I've been doing a lot of quilting and scrapbooking lately, that my crocheting was getting neglected. Something someone said got me to thinking and I came up with a design for a new afghan.
While working on it this morning, I realized I can use this design to make a scarf, and I can adapt it to make a shawl. Wow! Am I excited.
I just finished writing down the directions for the scarf.
Please be warned, there probably are a few mistakes, as I haven't had the pattern tested (by someone other than me). If you find a mistake, please let me know and I will correct it. Also please let me know if something is unclear or hard to understand.
First snag: I just realized it is a little short for a scarf. It's fine for the short people (what my daughter calls children), but I will have to adapt it for adults.
Drum roll please (yes I still get excited as this is only the 2nd thing I've actually designed)
Here it is:

I am unsure of the exact amount of yarn it takes. I think about 4 oz. I will try to find out a closer idea of how much.
